PRGN announces creation of distinct North American and Latin American regions in its global structure, naming Loreley Maldonado as the first Regional Vice President of the Latin American region
PHILADELPHIA – The Public Relations Global Network (PRGN) announced today that it has restructured its Americas region, designating Latin America and North America as standalone regions within its global organization.
This strategic change is designed to further support PRGN member agencies and clients by recognizing the distinct market needs, business environments, and communication landscapes in these two fast-moving regions.
Under the new structure, North America will include agencies in the United States and Canada. Latin America will include Mexico and all countries to its South on the American continent. As a result, PRGN will now operate with member agencies organized into four regions: Asia Pacific, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Latin America and North America. The change unites member agencies across Latin America that share common culture and market dynamics, maximizing collaborative opportunities.
This move reflects PRGN’s broader reach across the region, as well as the fast growth and rising strategic value of Latin American markets. Recently, PRGN celebrated its expansion into Colombia, which further strengthened PRGN’s South American presence. The new structure will help agencies in Latin America collaborate more closely and help clients find trusted local counsel in markets that are most effectively navigated from the inside.
“As the world keeps changing and evolving, some regions and markets transform and develop more quickly and become more important than before,” said Frédéric François, President of PRGN and managing partner of Two cents in Belgium and the Netherlands. “PRGN has to respond to this evolution and implement changes that support our members and bring a growing global expertise to the client companies and organizations seeking communications counsel and services from member agencies.”
As part of the change, PRGN appointed Loreley Maldonado, Founder and CEO of Eje Comunicación in Mexico, as the first Regional Vice President for Latin America. In the new role, Maldonado will support work among PRGN member agencies across the region. Maldonado also will lead companies and organizations in connecting with local experts who understand the media, policy and business climate in each market.
“Latin America is changing at a fast pace, and its markets are playing a larger role in global business decisions,” said Maldonado. “PRGN’s coverage and skills in the region have grown stronger, and our member agencies are launching new ways to offer more coordinated service across borders. We are also looking to add new member agencies in key markets, most notably Panama, Costa Rica and Peru, among others.”
The North America region will continue to be led by Natalie Ghidotti, CEO of Ghidotti in Little Rock, Arkansas, who has served as Regional Vice President for the Americas, which encompassed both North America and Latin America until now. Ghidotti and Maldonado continue to serve on PRGN’s Executive Committee, representing member agencies’ needs in their respective regions.
Maldonado previously served on PRGN’s Executive Committee as Conference Committee Chair. In that role, Maldonado led content development for PRGN’s twice-yearly member meetings and conferences. Nikki Festa O’Brien, CEO of Greenough Communications in Boston, will succeed Maldonado as Conference Committee Chair. Greenough Communications joined PRGN earlier in 2026.
This restructuring marks an important step for PRGN, of which Buchanan Public Relations is a founding member, as clients seek more local insight across Latin America and North America.
