Favorite Part of Working in Public Relations: No day is the same. Especially in agency life, we are constantly working with different clients, different projects and different topics. I like that my schedule is never set and that I am always kept on my toes adjusting to the next task.
Tip for Other Public Relations Professionals: Never stop learning. Learn from everyone – from the president of your company to one of your peers. Each person you encounter has had a different experience than you and collaboration can only make your skill set stronger.
Most Memorable Moment at Buchanan PR: My first national media hit. A reporter from the Washington Post attended one of our client’s events and wrote a story about it. A non-work moment would have to be the first day I brought my puppy, Shiloh, to the office. We have a dog-friendly office, and everyone was so understanding, kind, and eager to welcome the little guy!
Pet Peeve: Slow or oblivious walkers.
Guilty Pleasure: Food: cheese of any kind. AC Lauren (also my roommate) will tell you about the cheese drawer in our fridge at home. Activity: any crime show like Law and Order. I love trying to solve the crime before the fictional TV characters do, hahah.
Favorite After Work Activity: Taking Shiloh to the dog park, going to a happy hour or pub quiz and most recently, I’ve been binge watching Suits.
